Weddings Deep & Elyse. Wedding photography in Nora Buri Hotel April 7th, 2018
Deep and Elyse’s wedding was one of those days where emotions took the lead. It started with nervous energy and ended in pure joy — and somewhere in between, it rained. Not a soft drizzle, but real tropical rain. Plans shifted. The mood didn’t.
That’s the thing about destination weddings in Thailand — they can be unpredictable. But they also create space for real stories. We didn’t pretend the rain didn’t happen. Instead, we adapted. They laughed, hugged, stood close, and embraced it all. It was honest. And beautiful in its own way.
Still, we knew we needed something more. When your dream is to marry on a beach with sunlight dancing on water, you want those memories to match. So I suggested we wait — take an extra day, pick the right time, and go around the island when the sky cleared. They trusted me, and it changed everything.
That second shoot gave us everything the stormy day couldn’t — golden beaches, peaceful temples, lush green backdrops. Elyse in her dress again, barefoot in the sand, Deep looking at her like he did the first time. The contrast made the full story complete. Two days, one love, and now a set of photos that shows the full picture — real, imperfect, and unforgettable.
As a wedding photographer in Lisbon, I know that perfection isn’t about control. It’s about being present, adapting, and knowing when to step in. This wasn’t just a job. It was about care — about making sure they remembered their wedding not for the rain, but for the way they felt holding hands through it all.
They said it better than I ever could: it wasn’t just about the photos — it was about the support, the direction, the push when it mattered. That’s why I do this. And why this wedding will stay with me for a long time.
